The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be a historic event, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This marks the first time the tournament will be held across three countries. The competition is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. 

The tournament will feature an expanded roster of 48 teams, up from the traditional 32. These teams will be divided into 12 groups of four, with the top two teams from each group, along with the eight best third-placed teams, advancing to the knockout stage. In total, there will be 104 matches played across these venues. The final match is set to take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19, 2026. This expanded format and multi-nation hosting aim to make the 2026 World Cup the largest and most inclusive tournament in FIFA’s history.

The seating at the various venues for the World Cup matches are pre-determined by FIFA and are set up in 4 categories. Please note that seating will vary somewhat from venue to venue but use the general breakdown and descriptions below to help determine the category of desired seating:

 

Category 1 seats are typically located on the long side of the soccer pitch (field)

 

Category 2 tickets are typically located in the corners of the soccer pitch (field)

 

Category 3 tickets are typically located in the lower level on the ends of the soccer pitch (field)

 

Category 4 tickets are typically located on the ends of the soccer pitch (field) in the upper level.
